Thank you for your interest in NEW Academy of Science and Arts! NEW Academy of Science and Arts is a tuition-free, open-enrollment, public charter school. Students are accepted regardless of background, academic record, or special education eligibility on a first-come, first-served basis. If more students apply than spaces are available, students are admitted by lottery. A lottery will be conducted on February 17, 2017 at 8:30am in the lunch area at 345 S. Loma Dr., Los Angeles, CA 90017. Each child can only have one application in the lottery. Duplicate forms are not allowed and will not be included in the lottery. The lottery is not based on when you apply or how many forms are completed. Parents will be informed of the results of the lottery by mail. If your child wasn't selected in the lottery he or she will be placed on a waiting list. Your application will only be in our files until the end of the school year, so please be sure to re-apply during open enrollment. Late applications are automatically placed on a waiting list.

The application for the 2017-10 school year is available both online and in paper. Paper applications are available in our Villa office at 345 S. Loma Dr., Los Angeles, CA 90017.
